The main objective of my research is to develop a diagnostic tool incorporating microfluidic surface plasmon resonance imaging (SPRi) technology and combining this with recent developments in proteomics. This research will also leverage and extend current microfluidics technologies to allow label-free detection of these protein biomarker molecules from crude complex fluid samples.
