I’m working a transcription factor recurrently mutated in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, MEF2B. Mutations tended to occur at three particular amino acids, my project is to functionally characterize the effect of these mutations on protein function, in particular, DNA interactions, protein interactions, downstream target gene activation. This may suggest how MEF2B mutations contribute to lymphoma development and suggest new pathways that could be therapeutically targeted.
