Ubiquitin Proteomics
We are interested in investigating how misfolded and damaged proteins are targeted to the ubiquitin proteasome system for degradation. Failure to eliminate aberrant proteins typically leads to their aggregation, a phenomenon linked to many age-related proteinopathies like Parkinson’s and Huntington’s diseases. We use both mammalian and yeast cell systems and a wild range of techniques ranging from cell biology, high content chemical screening to proteomics.
